A good renovation plan is the key to success

Why a good renovation plan makes all the difference
Before I started LucasBouwt, I often got questions from friends and family who were (almost) about to start renovating. Most of them followed the same sequence: first, they figured out what they liked, then they looked for someone to make it happen. They scheduled appointments with contractors, and during the renovation, they ran into all kinds of unexpected issues. Think of things that could be done differently, costs that turned out higher than expected, or ad-hoc decisions that had to be made. Scheduling conflicts also pop up. Suddenly, there are more options, unexpected costs, and a lot of (decision) stress. I helped these friends and family members get back on track and received very positive feedback. That’s how I came up with the idea to professionally guide people through their renovations.
No abstract report, but a concrete step-by-step plan
A good renovation plan helps you make clear choices about layout, materials, style, and timeline. It allows you to stay in control of your budget and know exactly when to take each step. As a renovation advisor, I combine hands-on experience with personal advice. You don’t get a report full of abstract assumptions, but a clear plan that truly fits you and your home.
I think along with you, ask critical questions, and help you make smart decisions. Whether you want to outsource everything or keep control yourself — I make sure you know exactly where you stand, for both big and small projects.
Tailored renovation plans — also on location
You can ask me for advice on small projects or for a complete renovation plan. My service always starts with an in-depth intake, followed by a home visit if desired (in the Amsterdam area). For larger projects, a home visit is always included. Afterwards, you’ll receive a concrete recommendation you can put into action right away. For example:
- Advice on an optimal and efficient layout for your project
- Insight into technical possibilities and improvements
- Overview of required work and a logical step-by-step approach
- Cost and timeline estimate
- Execution by LucasBouwt or connecting you with reliable contractors and professionals from my network
This way, your renovation becomes not just more structured, but also more feasible and easier to execute.
When is this for you?
